While it doesn’t usually happen, once in a while, we get films where both share similarities in stories. It can be currently seen with the two Bollywood movies whose common point is baldness of the lead protagonist.
Check out the trailers below. The first one to arrive was Ujda Chaman is starring Sunny Singh and Maanvi Gagroo. The second to come was Bala is featuring the current sensation Ayushman Khurrana. It is from the director who gave the rib-tickling horror-comedy Stree.
If you see both the trailers, you can find much more similarities than just the familiar premise on baldness. The feel and dialogues are too close to each other at times. There are common stereotype characters as well.
Ideally, both should be given a chance initially, and the better one would survive in the end. However, in this case, Bala has far bigger names attached to it, and a hero who is going through a purple patch at the box office. The two movies were initially set to release two weeks apart (Bala being later), but owing to the similarities, they are now clashing with each other. Bala and Ujda Chaman will now arrive in the first week of November on 7th and 8th respectively.
