After playing the main antagonist’s role in ‘2.0’, Akshay Kumar became quite a popular name among South audiences, even. The versatile hero’s patriotic movie based on hockey is coming for this Independence Day and Krish’s ‘Manikarnika’ is said to be clashing with ‘Gold’.
But for Akshay Kumar, this scenario isn’t a clash. Two films releasing on the same day doesn’t mean they are fighting with each other. He rightly observes that every movie can’t have a dream solo release as Bollywood alone produces more than 250 movies per year and it’s a very common scenario when several movies may opt for the same release date.
Though ‘Manikarnika‘ is essentially a Bollywood movie, the Telugu flavor is quite evident because the story is penned by Rajamouli’s father Vijayendra Prasad and the biopic on Jhansi Lakshmi Bai is being helmed by Krish.
