This star hero, who is going to come before the audiences as director Shankar’s villain in his upcoming sci-fi movie ‘2.0’, beat the record of Salman Khan’s movie ‘Sultan’ which recorded a TRP of 3.32. Akshay Kumar’s ‘Jolly LLB 2’ which was premiered on television had recorded 3.83 TRP, leaving the trade pundits surprised.
Akshay has a family image and most of his movies are suitable for family viewing with no objectionable love scenes or vulgar anecdotes in the name of comedy. His roles as a ‘do-gooder’ and an idealist had won him loyal fans. That could be the reason why ‘Jolly LLB 2’ could overpower Salman’s ‘Sultan’ and also Hrithik Roshan’s ‘Kaabil’ on television.
