Rajinikanth’s starrer ‘2.0’ isn’t going to come in January 2018 as announced earlier. Instead, Akshay Kumar’s ‘Padman’ is going to hit the screens during the extended holiday of Republic Day while ‘2.0’ will take the Summer slot which was earlier decided for ‘Padman’.
Bollywood media gave reasons for this exchange. The first one is Akshay Kumar’s sentiment to release his films for either Independence Day or Republic Day. The second reason is that Akshay Kumar feels that ‘2.0’ is a Rajinikanth’s movie and that’s why Akshay doesn’t see it as his film.
Whatever might be the reasons, ‘2.0’ is postponed officially and one can understand that the sci-fi thriller will get more time to meet the expectations and get the CGS works done perfectly to meet the standards set by films like ‘Baahubali’ in terms of the output.
