Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar is known for his generosity and kindness and is actually one of the few who doesn’t do it for fame. Keeping mum while continuing to help the society is just one of the things that make the actor great. Recently, the popular actor donated over one crore to the families of CRPF jawans who were killed by Naxalites.
The actor was in touch with an IPS Officer, Amit Lodha who, on request, shared the details with Kumar about the Naxal attack and the slain jawans. Akshay then decided to monetarily help the families of the 12 brave soldiers and hence has given a total of Rs 1.08 crore.
The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) jawans, who lost their lives, belonged to the 219th battalion and were ambushed by Naxal group in a district in Chhattisgarh. The incident happened on 11th March while they were on a Road Opening Patrol duty.
