Aamir Khan’s television show ‘Satyameva Jayate’ became extremely popular for the social problems it tried to address on the behalf of common man. However that didn’t deter from someone filing a PIL on the actor for the program logo.
According to the petition, the words (motto) of our national emblem ‘Satyameva Jayate’ are misused for Aamir Khan’s show which are used without permissions for trade purpose. But the High Court gave respite to the actor from the PIL.
The court said that prohibition of usage of the emblem is only as a whole, not using the motto of the emblem ‘Satyameva Jayate’. Since the motto is used separately without using the emblem, the petition against the star hero was dismissed.
