Oopiri-ReviewWhat is the film about?
Oopiri is a tale of bonding between Vikramadithya (Nagarjuna) and Seenu (Karthi). How their relationship begins and ends is what the film is all about.

How is Nagarjuna’s performance?
Akkineni Nagarjuna once again chosen a film that is well within his sensibilities and when he gets it right more often than not the result is fabulous. Oopiri is a film where he gets it right. He plays the paraplegic convincingly and with emotions intact. Also there is never a hint of going overboard and entire performance is in sync with the narrative with no jarring feeling at all.

Vamsi-Paidipally-oopiri-ReviewDirection By Vamsi-Paidipally?
Based on the films that Vamshi Paidipally has made so far it wouldn’t be an overstatement to say that there is nothing wrong in thinking he couldn’t pull it off. The sensibilities of the kind of films he has made so far are vastly different to the kind we see in the film. We wouldn’t say its luck and would like to give entire credit to the director for pulling this off.

The first half of the film is especially so good. The flow is smooth and there are really no jarring moments. The pace dips and story stagnates in the second half but still the performances and execution makes one stick to the screen for most part. It’s here we can see that the director has succeeded and he deserve every inch of the credit as much as the actors.

Oopiri reviewKarthi, Tamanna and others?
Karthi makes a smashing debut in Telugu with the film. He is the lifeline of the enterprise and we cannot imagine a film without him. Sure some punches could have landed far better with perfect timing but the actor making his debut and also dubbing deserves a big pat on his back. Tamannah too dubs her voice which also deserves kudos. She looks million bucks and does her part well. Nagarjuna, Karthi and Tamannah, together these three make the film. Other artists such as Prakash Raj, Jayasudha, Tanikella Bharani etc have very less screen time but they are fine.

Oopiri reviewMusic and other departments?
Music by Gopi Sundar is fine but it feels repetitive pretty soon. The background score is superb though. Cinematography is very good where as editing is okay. Dialogues add further punch to the film with its emotional yet comic touch.
