Since the results of GHMC elections, there were several speculations that BJP may severe ties with TDP in Telangana and may go on with TRS in the new state. While the high commands of both the parties are mum on the issue, State BJP leaders have started their lobbying for possible cabinet berths at the state and central level.
TDP going by the actions of BJP leaders is growing suspicious about TRS-BJP secret understanding much earlier. They are expressing their doubts over center announcing the housing projects and Smart Cities just before the crucial GHMC elections in Telangana. In both the announcements, Telangana got raw deal.
TRS aggressively used both of the issues as election issues against TDP-BJP combine. T-TDP leaders are of the opinion that they played a significant role in the defeat. This brought a question over center’s help to state and so people opted for the ruling party in the state. Interestingly, after the elections, the other day, Center announced additional 22,817 houses to Telangana. This announcement if came earlier, would have helped the TDP-BJP combine to some extent.
