Telangana government illegal irigation projectsThe other day, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao laid foundation stone for Medigadda Project and in the evening, Andhra Pradesh cabinet had decided that they will be writing a letter to Union Water Resources Ministry to intervene and stop the illegal projects mooted by Telangana government.

Suddenly, the sky broke loose and Telangana Ministers have started shooting arrows on their Andhra counterparts on the issue. Given by-election of Palair round the corner, the allegations just got heated. Ministers like Harish Rao, Indrakaran Reddy and Talasani Srinivas Yadav had started igniting the Andhra-Telangana sentiment back.

However the unanswered questions are why Telangana is taking up these projects with out necessary permissions? If there are no violations, Andhra Pradesh government’s letters to the center will not be of any use. Even if Modi government is favouring their ally (impossible in given conditions), they can approach courts. Hope the issues will be resolved with sane discussions than unnecessary mudslinging.
