The ruling Telugu Desam Party seem to be successful in portraying Jagan as anti-development, the Opposition Leader also seem to have realized this and is worried about the propaganda. The other day, Jagan raised the issue of the people who gets displaced due to Polavaram Project.
Jagan mentioned how the Land Acquisition in the villages is going on for 10 years and is no where near completion. As a result, the tribals living in those villages are facing many problems. While taking this to the notice of the government, Jagan asked the government not to portray his party against to the project.
According to the estimates, the land acquisition of the project alone will cost more than 10000 Crore. The cash strapped state government despite being serious about the project is unable to clear the issues. The project despite having National status, is not receiving any help from the center which is compounding the problems.
