A Major ISIS Module got busted in the Old City area of Hyderabad City. National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at multiple locations of the city this morning. They have seized fire arms, ammunition and currency. At least six members were detained and are being questioned by NIA.
The suspects were reportedly inspired by social networking sites. This is the second major operation against ISIS linked Hyderabadi youngsters busted by the police in the past few months. Three months ago, an IS module comprising six persons from Hyderabad was busted by NIA officials during a Pan India operation.
For the past few years, Hyderabad has been targeted by ISIS to indoctrinate and recruit youth of the city. We have already seen quite a few being detained while going to join ISIS and counselled.
