KCR, KCR Land Pooling, CM KCR Land Pooling, KCR Government Land Pooling, Telangana CM KCR Land Pooling, Chief Minister KCR Land Pooling, KCR Land Pooling Mallanna Sagar Project, KCR Land Pooling Irrigation Projects, KCR Telangana Land PoolingKCR government is facing its first major challenge with the agitation over the land acquisition for Mallanna Sagar Project. Opposition parties have grabbed it as a lifeline to make their presence felt in the state political arena. Accordingly, they are making their presence felt as well. KCR government is using force to rein the movement.

KCR government on the other side, had pinned high hopes on Amaravati to steer it out of trouble. KCR’s Ministers have started attacking TDP (TS) bringing the name of Amaravati. They questioned how it is okay to collect more than 30000 acres for Amaravati while it is wrong to few hundreds of acres for Mallanna Sagar Project.

While combating Opposition, KCR’s team also hopes that this argument will also pacify the farmers and convince the people of the state that the government is going in right direction. In this occasion, KCR government is ignoring the fact that Amaravati farmers have grown rich by giving their lands in land pooling.

Telangana government however is just giving a one time settlement which will take the farmers no where as the land rate are already not significant there. Except for 2500 acres which is less than 10% of the total land requirement, land pooling in Amaravati is voluntary. So, Amaravati is not an apt defense for Telangana government in this issue at least theoretically. We will have to see how the people receive that with TRS leaders’ excellent oratory skills.
