KCR increases MLA salariesCouple of months ago, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal increased the salaries of MLAs by multiple folds and it created huge uproar. Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao is also considering the same idea in the state.

Currently MLAs in Telangana are drawing 80000 per month and the state government is planning to increase it till Three Lakh per month. KCR is of the opinion that the current salaries are not enough to meet the expenses of the MLAs and so the increase is imminent.

KCR defended his move telling that only 0.0001% of the state budget is being used for MLAs. He reminded how they have many political and non-political expenses including traveling in constituency, districts and the capital. Lets see if KCR’s argument prevents controversies.
