She just said that Pakistan is not a hell like most of us believe. There are people like us living in Pakistan across the borders. Some found these ProPakistan comments anti-national. It’s not really hard to guess the reaction of the people who mix up patriotism with jingoism.
One lawyer Vittal Gowda accused Ramya of sedition and filed a case against her for the comments. Why did Ramya talk about Pakistan now? She had been one of the young Parliamentarians who went to Pakistan to attend the SAARC conference held in Pakistan. She was overwhelmed by the experience and said ‘Pakistan is not hell’.
