Union Finance Minister, Arun Jaitley today talking about the Finance Bill in Lok Sabha went on to say his government is helping the state in all possible ways. He read out various amounts given to the state by the Center. He clarified that Center gave 2300 Crore in the first year towards Revenue deficit.
Jaitley also said AP’s claim about Revenue deficit is on higher side and it has to be checked and then adjusted. Jaitley says so even after the audit of CAG about the revenue deficit. He also added that Center gave 21000 Crore as share in Central taxes and another 2000 Crore for Capital Construction.
He promised to give more for Capital Construction as and when needed. He also added that Center will be funding Polavaram Project for which an MP from Odisha objected. Arun Jaitley confirmed that Polavaram Project is a National Project under the act and they can not go back. He clarified that Center will help to compensate for the loss of Hyderabad to AP.
