If the reports emerging from political circles is to be believed, Congress Party may be in for a big shame in Palair by-election. The by-election is necessiated due to the sudden demise of Congress MLA, Ramreddy Venkat Reddy. His wife Sucharitha is contesting on Congress ticket taking on TRS Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao.
It is said that Venkat Reddy’s family is certain of the defeat and is planning to withdraw from the contest. Congress state unit is refusing and pressurizing them to stay in the race. This is despite the fact YSR Congress and TDP extended their support to Congress candidate as solidarity to Venkat Reddy.
If Sucharitha happens to withdraw, then it will be a big embarassment to the main opposition party. It will also showcase to the people that Telangana Rashtra Samiti is just invincible in the state for now. The voting for Palair by-election will happen on 16th of May and the results will be out on 19th.
