The ongoing Kapu Reservation stir came as a big opportunity for opposition parties to instigate anti-government in people and more importantly in the Kapu community which rallied after the ruling party in the last elections. The government some how managed to keep the issue down finishing Mudragada’s Deeksha.
However Political experts say that despite the issue not ending up in any one’s favour, Congress put up better fight on the issue than YSR Congress. Despite Zero seats in AP Assembly, Congress leaders are more active on this issue than YSR Congress. The party apparently got more visibility due to Dasari and Chiranjeevi.
On the other side, for some reason, Jagan ensured that there is no face of the party except himself. In this case, he managed strategic silence and so automatically, YSR Congress’ participation in the issue looked nominal. Even though Ambati and Botsa tried to put up fight on this issue, they are not fully successful.
