Andhra Pradesh government had come up with the idea of interim secretariat as it has sensed that the Central government is not positive to help it build capital even though the Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act mandates it to do so. The interim secretariat construction is happening at brisk pace.
The government is keen to finish the administration shift by June 27th. At the same time, various central departments have started sending applications to the state government and CRDA to allot Office Space in the interim secretariat. However CRDA confirmed that they can not accommodate since they are only G+1 constructions.
They clarified that the interim secretariat is only for the state government departments and central departments will be accommodated in the capital buildings which will begin very soon. On the other side, the state government had called for tenders worth 370 Crore for interior works, Roads, drinking water and other amenities to the interim secretariat.
