The Special Committee appointed to look in to YSR Congress MLA, Roja’s one year suspension tabled its report to the Speaker. The committee opined that Roja’s behaviour and language in the house is objectionable and she deserves the one year suspension she is accorded with. Council Chairman Mandali Buddha Prasad headed this committee.
Sravan Kumar (TDP), Vishnu Kumar Raju (BJP) and Srikanth Reddy (YSR Congress) are the members of this committee. YSR Congress Member expressed his dissent with the committee. He alleged that the committee did not take in to account the allegations on the other members and is focused only on tarnishing the image of their MLA.
Srikanth Reddy also alleged that the video of Roja is public domain is a fabricated one to defame her and the party. He also questioned why a cyber crime case was not registered when the videos of the assembly were made public with out the consent on the Speaker. On the other side, Roja also filed a case with Hyderabad High Court fighting the suspension.
