Amaravati-model-inspires-even-BJP-ruled-states!While BJP led central government is doing all that it can to peg back the growth of Andhra Pradesh by not helping as much as it should, Amaravati model adopted by Chandrababu is inspiring even for BJP ruled states. Recently Maharashtra CM Devender Fadnavis evinced interest in the land pooling method adopted for Amaravati.

A team is in Andhra Pradesh to study the model. They sat with CRDA officials and Guntur district officials today and are taking notes of the model adopted here. Maharashtra government is planning a highways project of 700 kilometers long. They are planning to develop a parallel express way from Mumbai to Pune to the already existing express way.

Similarly they are also planning an extension of National highway between Mumbai and Sholapur. Fadnavis is of the opinion that this project can not be executed under the current Land Acquisition Act due to high costs involved and so is keen on implementing Amaravati kind of Land Pooling for these projects.
