KCR, KCR Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant, KCR Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant Updates, KCR Bhadradri Thermal Power Plant Status Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhara Rao ambitiously announced that his government will have 20,000 MW of installed power generation capacity by 2019 which is unlikely now. The 4×270 MW Bhadradri thermal power plant which was to be ready by March 2017 is already delayed by a year.

The 4000 MW Yadadri thermal power project is also behind schedule. The state continues to procure power from Private players as the deal with Chhattisgarh discoms to supply 1000 MW Power is also not happening any sooner as Wardha-Dichpalli transmission line is unlikely to be finish before March next year.

Telangana currently has production of about 6000 MW. The peak hour load due to nine-hour daytime supply to agriculture is projected to touch 10,000 MW by October. The government has to go for further costly purchase to meet the increasing demands which will further burden the already debt ridden Power discoms of the state.
