YSR Congress MLC Boddu Bhaskar Rama Rao met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu a short while ago in Hyderabad. Boddu is expected to join Telugu Desam Party on 23rd of this month. In fact, Boddu is a senior TDP leader who just joined YSR Congress party before the elections after TDP refused Rajahmundry MP seat to his son. Boddu’s son contest for Rajahmundry MP from YSR Congress and lost miserably. So it returning home for Boddu Bhaskara Rao.
Boddu Bhaskara Rama Rao has been elected Member of Legislative Council from the local bodies’ constituency of East Godavari district from TDP in 2011. He was also elected as MLA from TDP in 1994 and 1999 elections. He used to enjoy good support of Kamma caste in the region but lost every thing of it after joining YSR Congress.
Boddu’s coming back was opposed by the local leaders from East Godavari but Chandrababu admitted him after he lent his unconditional support to the government. He may not even get nominated again for the council as the expiry of his term is nearing.
