Governor-warns-KCRThe Krishna River water sharing dispute between both the Telugu states has reached the governor, ESL Narasimhan. The Governor reportedly asked both the states not to aggravate the issue for political reasons and resolve it through discussions.

The Governor further told that Krishna River Board will interfere in the ongoing Srisailam Left Canal Power generation issue and both the states should abide by it.

It is known that Telangana is producing power from Srisailam Left Canal when the water in the reservoir is not sufficient to meet the drinking and irrigation needs which are its primary objective. Andhra Pradesh government wants Telangana to stop the power generation and save the water for summer needs. While Telangana is adamant saying that power generation is its prime objective for now. Naidu has already announced he was ready for a discussion on the issue but Telangana government is no mood of it.
