Tamil hero Suriya has an enviable following in Telugu film industry compared to some of his contemporary stars. It is his market in Telugu that allows him to get into the big leagues of stars when the worldwide cume of films is taken even though he fails to be the topper locally. However for the past few years his market has stagnated in TFI and it is bringing down his overall performance.
The reason for this is simple and obvious one. All his big films have failed to make mark in Telugu. From the time of Veedokkade to Rakshasudu, the big films that were supposed to be big money spinners and take him to new level have bitten dust and its effect was felt in Tamil as well.
Now with 24 he has another exciting biggie in hands. Will it follow the same pattern and disappoint or will it be different this time? How long can Suriya bank on the Singam films to bail him out. It is high time he delivered. Will Vikram Kumar do it for him with 24? Let’s wait and see in a couple of days.
