ttd no fund for vizag

Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, the biggest temple in the country with an annual budget of Rs 2400 crore and a workforce bigger the size of a mini government has not participated in the restoration and rehabilitation operations underway at the Hudhud cyclone hit Uttarandhra. The temple authorities were once very active in the relief operations during 2001 cyclone which affected Nellore and Kadapa districts. They used to distribute 30,000 food packets a day in those days. But this time they remained mostly silent.

While few heavily criticize the temple authorities for not contributing back to the society in the name of Lord, few others remind that the government has cancelled the trust board of the temple and with no administration in place, there is no directive to the temple authorities to participate in the relief works. Few other criticize at least TTD employees should have contributed like APNGOs since they enjoy better benefits than most government employees.
