Chiru is the undisputable megastar of Telugu Film Industry. But in the political arena he proved a failure contrary to his younger brother Pawan Kalyan. After the debacle of Congress in the recent general and Assembly elections, Chiru’s abilities as a politician are in question. The talk on his 150th movie also indicated that Chiru is in a kind of unseen political hibernation and would rest for a while.
But Chiru’s sudden outburst shocked many. It’s something like one of his film scripts. Like…Chiru went into deep sleep and dreaming about his 150th movie. Then when still in his dream, he planned for an overseas vacation. Went for vacation still dreaming. Then suddenly the demonic cyclone HudHud hit Vizag and Uttarandhra. But the cyclone’s deafening sounds couldn’t wake him up.
Here in AP, Chandra Babu Naidu set out immediately for Vizag and stationed himself there. People like Pawan Kalyan too joined him to extend help in the form of monetary funds and giving call to fans to reach out for the victims. Meanwhile Modi too joined Pawan Kalyan praising Naidu for his timely action decreasing the death toll to minimum.
While all this was happening, Chiru was still holidaying. Leisurely he came back to the country and instead of reaching out for victims, just waited for the late arrival of Rahul Gandhi. Then a nominal tour without solid help from his side or his party’s side, Chiru put a full stop to show concern to the grave problem the State has been facing. Suddenly after almost 18 days, as if woken up from a dream he lashed out at CM alleging that all CM’s efforts are publicity stunts.
When the fact remains that even Naidu’s opponents praised him for the genuine work he had done to face the havoc created by HudHud toofan and Chiru’s own brother lauded Naidu and joined Hands with CM; Chiru’s comments are more like beating a dead horse like the one trying to raise interest in an issue that no-one supports anymore, not even his brother by blood Pawan Kalyan.
Can beating a dead horse help him any more? Is there really rationale behind his outdated outburst? If Naidu helped the victims and handled the situation efficiently for publicity, then what’s the agenda behind Chiru’s latest uproar?
