The latest news in the movie world is the invitation sent by the Film Federation of India to the Academy Awards for foreign language film category and apparently several Bollywood movies will be a part of it. There have been speculations regarding the upcoming Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Chennai Express’ about getting through these awards and going to the Oscars as the official film entry for the Best Foreign Language Film from India. These speculations might even come true considering the fact that this has happened before, ‘Barfi!’ for instance.
The highly awaited movie ‘Chennai Express’ will hit the theatres on 9th August and the list of movies to be considered for selection by the Film Federation of India are only the ones that have been or will be released between October 1, 2012 and September 30, 2013. According to this, the list may also include films like ‘Dabangg 2’ featuring Salman Khan and ‘Talaash’ starring Aamir Khan. Let’s just hope for the best.
