Constructing a whole new set in an open land or in a studio is the speciality of some film makers but most of the directors in Bollywood opt for authentic locales and try to recreate the original places. The makers of Aamir Khan’s next ‘Dangal’ have also planned such authentic villages for their film.
It’s learnt that villages near Ludhiana in Punjab are being converted into Haryanvi villages which form the backdrop for the story of the Haryanvi wrestler Mahavir Poghat, the character Aamir Khan is going to play in the movie.
The process involved selecting some houses, shops and a few other things to give the Punjab villages appear as if they are from Haryana. People here are excited that the superstar is going to come to their village and also to become the part of the film making.
