tv9-prakash-caseIt is known that two Telugu channels Tv9 and ABN have been off the the air for quite a while and after KCR openly ended the blame game on MSOs by making comments ‘bury ten feet down the ground and break necks’, the issue has been escalated further. Recently Press Council of India conducted a probe with a three member committee and the report said it sees KCR as the hidden force behind the channels blockage in Telangana state.

Today, TDSAT (Telecom Disputes Settlement and Appellate Tribunal) had a meeting with higher officials of the state and ordered T-Government to restore the banned channels with out any further delay. TDSAT also ordered Telangana CS to file an affidavit by November 7th seeking the involvement of the government in the ban issue. Tribunal directed T-Government to provide necessary protection to MSOs as they complained about their safety. This clearly indicates that KCR has no option but let these channels go air sooner or later.
