Tv9-Karnataka-Couple of days after TV9 Kannada Version got banned in Karnataka, the channel management entered in to a pact with the government to resume the services. The channel was banned by the State MSOs after it was gearing up to run a major expose against the Siddaramaiah government at 9.30pm in their prime time segment. The state’s energy minister DK Shivakumar was behind this ban.

Finally the channel management and the government entered in to an agreement of not troubling the government further. The Chief Minister Siddaramaiah finally ensured that the MSOs resumed the channel services in all parts of the state.

TV9 Kannada head Mahendra Mishra thanked the State government’s timely intervention in the dispute with the cable operators. However the channel or its representatives refused to respond when asked about the channel’s initial allegation that the government was behind the sabotage.
