The ongoing tussle between Telangana and Andhra Pradesh governments regarding EAMCET Counselling is confusing the students of Telangana. The counselling in Andhra Pradesh began few days ago but the future of Telangana students is in doldrums. They fear that if they stay away from the counselling as per their government instructions, seats in good colleges of AP will be filled up.
It is said that in the first 2 days of Certificates Verification, at least 781 students of Telangana visited the helpline centres in AP and got their certificates verified. As the entrance exam is common for both the regions, Students can go to any certificate verification centre in the two states. It is said that many students from Telangana went to Vijayawada for verification.However Telangana officials say those students from OU who got their certificates verified in AP could be those not requiring or not eligible for the Financial Assistance for Students of Telangana scheme.
