The division of various buildings of government corporations is almost completed between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. 15 out of the 40 corporations have their own buildings. Andhra Pradesh Corporations like APGenco, APTransco, AP State Finance Corporation and others have their own buildings. The state run Road Transport Corporation, APSRTC alone has assets worth 16000 Crore in Hyderabad.
Andhra Pradesh government which will relocate all its offices to the new capital is thinking on the lines of selling its buildings and assets here in Hyderabad. Telangana government which first argued that AP corporations have to forego all the assets since they are geographically located in Telangana lost its case and is now planning to buy those buildings and assets from AP government. Sheela Bhide, chairperson of a Centre-appointed committee for the division of assets clarified that AP has the right and can sell its assets to any private party.
