Though we the Telugu audience know Samantha as Jessi, for Tamil audience Trisha is Jessi because she played the character of Jessi which Samantha played in ‘Em Maaya Chesaave’. Jessi’s character indeed worked wonders for both the heroines and paved way for their sojourn to top position.
When Goutham Menon wanted a second heroine for his upcoming movie ‘Thala 55’, he approached Sammy first hoping that she would readily accept the role. But Sammy forgot that he had been her mentor in shaping her Tollywood career and declined the offer giving lame reasons. The role went to Trisha who felt overwhelmed to do the character in Goutham’s film.
Trisha’s look in the film has been unveiled and she looked damn beautiful and very sensuous in a saree styled with a sleeveless blouse. Except for the sleeveless blouse, she reminds us of Jessi’s character sporting sarees. Goutham is very adept at showcasing his heroines very beautifully. Seems Trisha has taken a wise decision, while Sammy missed it again running behind big movies and big names.
