rudramadevi jyothi lakshmiBig promotions, grand openings, box-office collections and making or breaking records are considered macho thing in Tollywood and hence the star hero’s image and fan following decides a lot of factors including grand openings. Even many flop films have opened big, proving the star power of top heroes.

Despite all this hero worship factor this summer, Tollywood is trying to bet around Rs.100 crores on women power. If Gunasekhar seems to be gambling investing Rs.45 crores on Anushka for ‘Rudramadevi’, he has got a point in the form of Anushka’s ‘Arundati’ and her magnetic presence which could act as huge crowd puller.

And Charmee is now having Rs.25 crores on her head with ‘Jyothi Lakshmi’ for Rs.15 crores and ‘Mantra 2’ for Rs.10 crores. Her previous female-oriented movies speak on her behalf and her capability to win doing such roles. Coming to Nayan, ‘Mayuri’ is taking on Rs.15 crores, the actress is a big attractive force for her glamour and talent.

Trisha and Swathi too are going to gamble with Rs.5 crore each with ‘Nayaki’ and ‘Tripura’ respectively trying to bank with superhit horror comedy formula. While Tollywood is stumbling with more films failing at the box-office and big stars’ films not performing upto the expected mark, hopefully women power breaks the jinx and give grand openings.
