Top-5-telugu-films-top5-telugu-movies

In couple of weeks from now we will see biggies arriving one after other like a procession till the end of Dushera holidays. Stars like Jr NTR, Ravi Teja, Naga Chaitanya, Mahesh Babu and Ram Charan are going to vie for the audience attention during this period and obviously there would be a winner. But is it so in reality? Let’s take a look at these folks from industry and business perspective.

Rabhasa, Power, Oka Laila Kosam, Aagadu and Govindudu Andari Vadele are the films we are talking about for those still in the dark. All these films are coming with a high landing cost for the makers and therefore the makers are looking at selling these films to record prices. As we had reported earlier a film like Power is finding it hard to find distributors for the price quoted by the makers due to the multiple big releases. While a film like Oka Laila Kosam is reportedly being released on own for the same reasons. In effect these films will be releasing in deficit and it is entirely onto the theatrical collections for the makers to make profit on these films.

On the other hand films like Rabhasa, Aagadu and Govindudu Andari Vadele are sold at big prices and it’s imperative that they make huge money for distributors for them to be termed as hits. With multiple release we are looking at a scenario where these films might not get enough screens which means the films might not perform to their potential even with good talk as one film will eat into other films business. The only real winner in the end will be the film with good talk.

So if we look back at all these films, finally it boils down to the talk for that one film to make the difference and even that might not be enough. Hence the question, keeping all this in mind – are they really the big winners the industry is looking for or are they going to end up as losers in disguise for the industry? With such huge money riding on them couldn’t the makers space their releases well for everyone to benefit? Its a simple thing but its something that becomes uncomprehending when we look at Telugu movie releases. Don’t you think the releases could be spaced out well giving everyone an equal opportunity to mint money? Share us your thoughts.
