ccl 5winner photoIn the fifth edition of the tournament Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), finally Telugu Warriors have managed to win the trophy and one must say they did it in style with eleven balls to spare. Telugu Warriors beat Chennai Rhinos to win the trophy.

It all started with Captain Akhil Akkineni winning the toss and putting the opposition to bat. Chennai Rhinos started on a dampener with wicket in first over and they never recovered from that thanks to tidy bowling by the Warriors. As a result in spite of not loosing many wicket Rhinos couldn’t put up a total that they could defend.

In its chase Warriors started on a blazing note courtesy Sachin Joshi. Due to that smashing innings Rhinos were out of the game at the end of power play itself. All that Warriors needed to do was play steadily without losing any wickets and this was done by Sudheer Babu and captain Akhil. In the end Warriors won with 11 balls to spare which is huge in t20 matches.

Venkatesh who has been a regular at the event was overjoyed as expected with the result and so were the fans who kept on cheering in joy for Warriors. Sachin Joshi was given Man of the Tournament for his consistent performance throughout the series.
