Telangana's regularization scheme disappoints KCR!The response for the recently announced land regularization scheme badly shattered the hopes of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao. The government had targeted a minimum of 1000 Crore income from the scheme, but all that the government got is just 160 Crore. The time for regularization applications ended on February 28th and the government has got 22567 applications.

Government is planning to identify those encroached land owners who did not come forward with regularization applications and will later decide what to do with them. Majority of the applications came from Rangareddy district and that from areas nearer to Hyderabad.

Only 951 applications came from Hyderabad.Real Estate experts say the Regularization Amounts fixed by the government is not at all feasible for the encroachers to come forward as the regularization rates are very high. Even the announcement of installments also did not work in favour of the government
