mla-quarters

The differences between Andhra Pradesh and Telangana states are slowly spreading to all the sectors. Now the the central hall in the assembly of united AP which was re-designated as the assembly of the new AP is the subject of controversy. The central hall which was allotted to AP is lacking basic amenities like fans, lights and air conditioners. The members of AP Assembly complained of the lack of amenities during their first session last month. So, Andhra Pradesh government has started carrying out the little repairs.

But their Telangana counterparts are not at all. S Ramalinga Reddy, TRS MLA and chairman of the MLA quarters allotment committee halted the repair works there and clarified that they can not damage the heritage structure constructed by Nizams. He even went on to say the building is only a temporary allotment to AP for 10 years and it can not claim ownership or do any repairs.

However TDP Chief whip Kaluva Srinivasulu intervened and said that they have to make the little changes so as to make it suitable to conduct session. He clarified that Telangana legislators can not bully the AP legislators interfering in their government affairs. The Telangana MLAs have now decided to lodge a complaint with their speaker S Madhusudhanachari.
