Baanam was not just a debut movie for Nara Rohit it was also a film which marked a breakthrough for him into cinemas as a serious actor with a serious film to boot. It was a refreshing change for Telugu movies back then among the tons of commercial movies made. With Rowdy Fellow Nara Rohit seems to have mixed the Baanam kind of set up with commercial elements that are demanded today.
The song in the background holds the teaser together which otherwise looks clearly sluggish and laboured. The energy is missing and the title at the end and its design gives a completely opposite vibe to what precedes it. Debutant director Krishna Chaitnaya’s lack off abilities seems to be clearly at fore in this little teaser. Let’s hope the actual film and its execution is better than has been showcased here.
