tdp mlas and ysr cp mlasThe Telugu Desam government is doing all it can do to prevent YSR Congress MLAs getting on board hospital committees in the state to avoid their “nuisance”. As per the existing rules, the government appoints MLAs as chairpersons of hospital panels in their constituencies. But sensing trouble from YSR Congress MLAs in their respective constituencies, the TDP government is thinking on the lines to amend the rules and appoint non-officials as chairpersons, according to its choice.

With this move, all the opposition MLAs will be deprived of these posts. There are 1,175 Primary Health Centres, 193 community health centers, 30 area hospitals and 15 district-level hospitals in AP. The file regarding this is pending Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s approval and will be cleared very soon.

These committees will look after the development and other activities of these hospitals. Once the file is cleared, naturally Telugu Desam and BJP leaders will get first preference. This way the ruling party can also accommodate many of its leaders and cadre with 1000s of posts. And needless to say, the 60 odd MLAs of YSR Congress will be very disappointed.
