Normally Mahesh Babu seems to be a very calm person when one gets to see him in public events and functions. Is he the same while shooting for his flims? Does he mingle with his co-stars well? If not for all, such questions will surely interest his fans. Here is what senior character artist Hema has got to reveal about Mahesh Babu’s subtle sense of humour on sets.
While shooting for a sequence for Mahesh-Trivikram’s ‘Athadu’, Hema was hit by a shoe thrown at her by Brahmanandam. The shoe hit her hard on lips and her swollen lips painted a Hanuman (lord Hanuman) lips like picture. On seeing her lips, Mahesh quipped, “Seems the unit shooting for another movie needs one actor for playing Anjaneyulu (Hanuman). Export her there immediately.”
In another instance, on watching Hema’s habit of going to sleep early while other actors are still working on night shift, right after taking meals, “Someone please arrange for a cot and bonfire for Hemakka. It’s time for her sleep”, Mahesh made the entire unit in splits laughing for his humour on Hema’s habit. It’s obvious that she never slept during night shifts after that.
