ACB-Revanth-reddy-Supreme Court rejects ACB's petitionSupreme Court, the apex court had rejected the Special Leave Petition (SLP) filed by Telangana Anti Corruption Bureau requesting for the cancellation of Revanth Reddy’s bail. Senior Lawyers Kapil Sibal, Harish Salve and Dushyanth Dhave was roped in by the Telangana ACB while Ram Jethmalani was representing Revanth Reddy’s case. Kapil Sibal told the court that high court’s bail order is flawed and Revanth Reddy violated the bail terms and conditions immediately after the release.

The Chief Justice bench opined that there is no need to deny bail for Revanth Reddy as he already spent 30 days in jail and 4 days in ACB custody. The apex court opined that ACB already recorded the statement of Revanth Reddy and other accused in this case and there is no need to keep in jail further. The court had quashed the SLP filed by ACB.

This is a huge blow for Telangana ACB. Telangana government had taken this very prestigious and roped on the senior most lawyers in the country to present their case in the supreme court. They also made sure that the petition is taken up by the Chief Justice bench on the allegations that other judges can be influenced by TDP. But despite all their efforts, Supreme court rejected the petition.
