papanasam-kamal-gauthamiWhen two films are made with the same subject and the same storyline, definitely one which comes prior would be deciding and the latter would be effected because it would give a feeling of repetition. But coming to ‘Drishyam’ remakes in Tamil and Hindi, Kamal Haasan has a different view.

He opines that Ajay Devgan’s market and his market for the remake are different and though his movie ‘Paapanasam’ is going to come approximately a month earlier than Hindi ‘Drishyam’, it wouldn’t effect Ajay’s market. Readers can connect this statement from Kamal Haasan, to the update we’ve gave on ‘Paapanasam’ release date.

Long since Ajay’s ‘Drishyam’ was locked for 31st July and suddenly ‘Paapanasam’ release is scheduled for 3rd July. Cine observers feel, Kamal’s movie would have an edge over Hindi remake but the universal star doesn’t agree. He brings in the connection of his film ‘Mahanadi’ where he already played a protective father. Only this one has more positive approach to extraneous threats to daughters.

Whatever said, as we’ve opined earlier, we’ve got to wait and see how far Kamal’s movie refrains from encroaching Ajay’s market.
