Lately it has become like some sorts of a trend that senior heroes are going for their yeateryear colleagues. Nagarjuna back to ethnic beauty Shriya Saran, Venkatesh back to pretty Meena and now Kamal Haasan also having Meena to play his wife in the Tamil remake of ‘Drishyam’. After considering many other senior heroines, finally the makers came back to Meena who potrayed the same character in Malayalam and Telugu versions of the movie. This would be Meena’s hatrick if the reports are ťo be believed. Thus Kamal got his heroinee. Where does timeless diva Sridevi fit in?
It is rumoured that Sridevi will play the police officer role that Nadiya played ( IG Geetha) in Telugu remake. If this turns out to be true then Sri has accepted two films in Tamil after a long gap. She is going to play a princess in superstar Vijay’s socio fantasy movie. Vijay’s movie would be her come back movie to South Film Industry. Coming to Kamal Haasan, Sri has done memorable films like ‘Aakali Raajyam’, ‘Vasanta Kokila’ and a few others with Kamal which today are considered cult movies. Infact her entry card ‘Sadma’ into Bollywood was with Kamal Haasan. Audience would definitely like the yesteryear hit pair sharing the screen space once again.
