cbn-spl-task-forceAndhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had set up a special task force to solve all the impending disputes with the neighbouring Telangana State.

The seven-member task force, comprising TDP and BJP MPs from AP and Telangana will strive to bring various issues to the notice of the Prime Minister and the Central government. The issue will include the ongoing row over power and water between both the Telugu states as well as the immediate release of the promised Rs 1,000 crore relief for AP to tackle the aftermath of Cyclone Hudhud.

The Union civil aviation minister Ashok Gajapati Raju will head the task force while Rajya Sabha member Y Sujana Chowdary is the coordinator of the committee. AP special representative in New Delhi Kambampati Ramamohan Rao, Thota Narasimham, N Malla Reddy (all TDP) Bandaru Dattatreya and Kambampati Haribabu (BJP) are the members of the committee.

This taskforce regularly meet the Prime Minister and other central ministers to track the progress of the files related to the state programmes and pending projects. Naidu has also instructed the MPs to be proactive in mobilizing the corporate social responsibility funds from the companies that are operating in the state.
