Harman Singh Couple of weeks back, 22 year old Harman Singh surprised the World by removing his turban (which is against the Sikh region protocol) to cradle a boy after an accident in New Zealand’s largest city of Auckland. Harman was immediately famous across the globe for the humane act.

As a token of appreciation, TV station One News, along with Big Save Furniture, gifted Harman with a lounge set, complete with a sofa, coffee table and a bed for his selfless act. Harman was overwhelmed with joy and became teary-eyed as the furniture was brought in to his house. “My father passed away last year. He would have been a proud man now if he is here”, Harman recalled.

Harman Singh hails from India and is in Auckland studying a business course. Since then he has received hundreds of Facebook messages praising him from the US, Europe and India. His story has been shared tens of thousands of times on social media.
