Ram-charan-biggest-lossOk Bangaram has released after all the curiosity it has managed to generate. Although it’s just the first weekend the verdict is out clear and loud too. The film has got mixed response with few liking and equally few disliking among the films strong quarters that is the urban centers and audience. With masses there is no such confusion the film is a disaster for them.

Coming back to the target audience and bringing Charan into picture. Has the actor made the right choice by rejecting it? In a way one can say that going by the mixed response, also as one were being led to believe he already had an Orange on similar terrain, this also turns out to be true. Add these two reasons to the box office reception anyone would surely be thinking how right the actor has been but could that be the whole truth.

It is also well known fact that Ram Charan has been receiving flak for doing same kind of movies. In fact it’s that criticism that led him to do Govindudu Andari Vadele. Now that film released for Dushera last year and its April currently. So far the actor has not shot for anything. Ok Bangaram was a film that was cast, shot and released during this same period which means the actor could have surely done that film had he wanted to.

Keeping GAV in mind which was done with specific purpose of reinvention he could have surely done Ok Bangaram too with similar approach. A Mani Ratnam film would have bode well for him critically too while commercially he could have had a great exposure at Tamil market. And finally this could have been the film to have that cult following among youth that clearly Cherry is missing at this point.

No star is immune to flops, everyone is going to have few at some point. If one were to look beyond the immediate commercial standing surely Cherry might have missed a genuine cult movie in making. So should the star regret or rejoice?
