Short but special: Tapsee's first of its kind actBefore ‘Baby’, Tapsee Pannu had little luck in Bollywood even. But now she got a super hit movie in her kitty starring alongside Bollywood Action King Akshay Kumar. Tapsee received huge praise for her character as undercover secret agent appointed to weed out terrorists. Nevertheless there are some critics who try to belittle her character as only a hit and miss appearance.

Tapsee’s role might be a small one but it is definitely a special one. Her character redefined the female characters in our Indian films. At one point of time, Tapsee gets tied down by the terrorist who she is hunting. As audience wait for the hero to come for the rescue, and by the time Akshay rushes to extend help, Tapsee herself pins down the terrorist and takes charge of the situation.

This is truly an unconventional depiction of female characters in Indian Cinema context. Since ages we have seen our heroines helplessly waiting and the male characters rushing for helping her. Tapsee’s special role is like an eye opener to many who miss logic. While she is playing an undercover agent, she must be trained and fit enough to counter any attack on her. This special role is a first of its kind anyway.
