web virusA Study revealed shocking facts about the lack of safety for Internet browsers even when browsing the so called Popular websites. The study reviewed Top 1 Million domains in the World and found that one in every three can be termed as ‘risky,’ meaning they are either compromised already by hackers or working on vulnerable software that leaves them vulnerable to attack.

Although they did not disclose the list of vulnerable sites, they say the websites of most common use related to transportation, health and medicine, technology or business are putting their visitors at risk of exposure to damaging malware.

It is also revealed that one in four of the most trusted sites including, education and government domains can also be termed as risky. They say 99% of malware infections faced by internet users today do not require anything other than basic Internet browsing.
