Malkajgiri-settlers

Malkajgiri – the biggest Parliamentary constituency in India is all set to polls in next few days. While Telangana sentiment is ruling the roost in all the parliamentary positions in the region, Malkajgiri is the only seat where settlers have a say. As many as 30 candidates including Lok Satta Founder President Jaya Prakash Narayan, Satyanarayana, a union minister of state for transport (Congress), former Andhra Pradesh police chief V. Dinesh Reddy (YSR Congress), educationist Malla Reddy of the TDP-BJP combine are going to test their luck.

Telangana Rashtra Samiti candidate Mynampalli Hanumantha Rao hopping for an outside chance. There are few dark horses as well in the contest. Osmania University professor Nageswara Rao is contesting as an independent and Sudhakiran Rao, the grandson of former prime minister P.V. Narasimha Rao from AAP will fancy their chances as well in this election. It will be an interesting contest all in all but definitely the one who manages to please the settlers will have the final laugh.
